Yes, the RB26 does have great potential for power. But it is an Inline-6 and is much heavier than the VG30 engines. Also, since it's a I-6, it is much longer and the weight will protrude farther forward, screwing up the weight balance. I know that the weight balance is pretty important, because the guys who have done V8 conversions in their 240Z's say the car handles better with the V8 than it did with the orginal straight 6 engine (which was only about 100 lbs lighter than the small block chevy and is a lot longer.) : The RB26DETT engine I know is another definate possibility with great potential for a 240/hybrid.
